Check out this little bundle of joy!

That is, a ‘Paper’ based ipad app which lets you sketch your ideas everyday and stores them in multiple journals for you. You can have your very own virtual moleskin on the go! And it’s free!

Download it here.

My new favourite thing is Pinterest

Pinterest is an online pinboard where you can organize and share things that you are interested in, collect or love.

This is great for collecting images, ideas & inspiration online and is perfect for the newly-engaged looking to collect images for his/her wedding, the designer who looks to collect daily inspiration easily and even the average person who likes random things.

The great thing is, you can see what other people have pinned to their boards and is you like it, you can simply ‘repin’ it to your own board or ‘like’ it so you have a reference to it later.

You need to apply online for an invite (it took me about a week to get mine), otherwise send me a message with your email and i’ll hook you up :)

Let the pinning fun begin!

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted….again. Sorry for being MIA!

To get the ball rolling again on my blogging, check out these cool designs for the 2012 London Paralympic Games poster campaign by McCann Worldgroup!

The graphics & typography are strong, effective & inspiring. Some of the copy could be construed as being patronising, but as a package, i think it’s just swell :)

Read more about the campaign here.

You know a design is successful when it takes a user awhile to figure out what Digital Podge actually is - because the graphics are so engaging (case study: me).

This is the first 3D website i’ve ever seen and it’s simply lovely! The little tweaks like the animated nav and google map are really cute. And the best part is you don’t need 3D glasses for the website to work - because quite frankly, the graphics in their natural 3D state look amazing anyway.

Five Stars!

Another cute little site I’ve discovered dedicated to the abuse of Comic Sans by non-design folk (read: most people).

Just got home from the Sydney Vivid 2011 Extravaganza. If you live in or around Sydney, you should definitely check out the exhibits, markets and free light shows around Circular Quay and The Rocks area! I went for a trek across the harbour bridge, and let me tell you - the view is breathtaking!

I can’t read a word on this site but isn’t it a brilliant piece of design? It’s so lovely to be able to explore a website blind, but be engaged enough to keep pressing random buttons to see more…

Look at this little gem of a website by Google for their “A Guide to the AppGalaxy”.

I love the simplistic design, but more so, I LOVE how the whole website works as a package to promote the idea of the Galaxy in a minimalist way. You can even use your keyboard to navigate the site.

No incredibly crazy Flash/3D tricks that would’ve cost buckets here!

For the developers out there, if you’re interested in how they’ve coded this (dummies version of course), check out this cool Vertical/Horiztonal JQuery Scroller Page tutorial.
